Brightened my Colour!

I used a small amount after before using the Colour Protect Conditioner. Loved the shine and my colour (about 3 months old) did appear more vibrant. Only drawback for me is, having fine hair, I find that using the conditioner along with the moisturising shampoo, weighs my hair down a little so the bounciness only last a day and then I have to rewash, as my hair looks a little flat and lifeless. Tried using only the shampoo, and as the shampoo is pretty luxurious, this worked better for my hair. Will be having a recolour soon, so will then if it helps to sustain the colour.

Formula Change Disaster

Now, one of the worst shampoos on the market They are actually putting SLS in the conditioner (which is a detergent) which will strip your hair of moisture and cause it to produce more oil, hence the feeling of greasy hair. They have also removed the coconut oil from it as well nad pumped a load of glycerin into it. It's making my hair hard to style and leaving it greasy by the end of the day. I used it for 20 plus years, but never again. I've tried numerous alternatives, and most of them are better than L'oreal, but still not the same.
I'm sure the formula change is a cost cutting exercise by some pen pusher with a calculator.

S'il vous plaît, ramenez l'ancien parfum, j'adore vos produits, le changement de parfum ne fait rien pour le système olfactif. Comme un bon repas, le sens contribue à 50 % du plaisir et tout comme les choses que nous appliquons à notre corps, il a le même effet qu'il vous donne envie de plus ou de moins. Soit cela vous laisse satisfait, soit non. Je suggérerais de ramener l'ancien parfum car pour vos clients, c'était un gros argument de vente. Je suis vraiment désolé de devoir vous le faire savoir. J'espère que vous écouterez votre clientèle.

Great for getting your hair looking vibrant again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair can get so dull colour wise in winter and although normal shampoos make it look clean, it just ends up looking not as bright as it could. I was keen to try this to see if it would make my hair bounce back to its full potential. I may have used more than I should have done when I applied it to wet hair as it lathered up really quickly and there was a lot of it. It washed out well without leaving any residue and once dry a few people did comment on how vibrant my hair looked. That was a much needed bonus.

Disappointing new formula

I am so upset that I can't get the old version of Elvive color protect I've been using for years (and my mother as well). The new smell is disgusting: sickly sweet and overwhelming, stays on the hair after the wash. This is just too much. The shampoo itself got slightly worse, doesn't make my hair amazing any more. Such a shame I've purchase a big bottle. Will look for alternative, probably scent free - now I have this feeling like "any other shampoo could have same sickening smell, how would I kow buying online".

Terrible new formula - PLEASE CHANGE

So so disappointed. I used to love this shampoo and conditioner, it made my hair feel so clean and voluminous and fresh. Now, the nice scent is gone and my hair feels greasy the next day. I can barely leave it two days before it desperately needs a wash again! It leaves it coated and feels heavy. Why change the formula? Everyone loved the previous one, a classic example of why change something if it isn't broken. Honestly, the new formula could not be worse.

He probado el champú Ecopack de L’Oréal y la verdad es que me ha gustado bastante. Limpia muy bien el cabello sin dejarlo pesado, lo noto más suave, con brillo y fácil de peinar. Además, el aroma es agradable y dura bastante tiempo. Me parece un acierto el formato Ecopack porque es más práctico y ayuda a reducir el uso de plástico, algo que valoro mucho. En general, tiene muy buena relación calidad-precio y cumple lo que promete. Sin duda lo volvería a usar. #regalo de lorealparis

Bought this shampoo recently having used it a while back totally unaware that this product has changed as packaging was same as before (or very very similar anyway). Smell is awful and very strong frankly quite off putting. It is like washing hair in a perfume. It also doesn't do very much for my oily hair it looks oily and dull by the end of day one, I can usually go for 2 to 3 days between washes. Hair colour seems to last i have used this for 3 weeks now.

Why have you changed what was a fantastic daily use shampoo and conditioner, so popular it was sold in bulk sizes in every store? Now my hair is greasy immediately after washing, it’s irritated my scalp and it smells artificial. If the prices had gone up to produce I would have paid more! I’ve now thrown out 5 bottles as even my husband won’t use it. Honestly I’m upset, after 7 years using every day I now cannot find anything of similar quality.

This shampoo helps retain the colour and keep the texture of my hair from drying out. It contsins a uv protection which we all know is necessary all year round for skin and hair. The shampoo is rich and creamy. It softens my hair and makes it feel smooth and healthy. Its a nessessity for dyed hair !

been using the colour protect shampoo for years, fab feeling hair, lovely scent....had to purchase some the other day and god knows what you've done but the smell actually knocks me sick! thought it may have been a 'duff' batch but no no....repurchased and it's exactly the same! hair doesn't feel as clean and is visibly greasy after only a few hours....have to find a new shampoo now methinks! top job loreal! 👎

Oh no, what has happened to the shampoo and conditioner I have been using for donkey's years? I keep a stock in, so didn't realise the formula had changed as no announcement was made. I have used the new one three times now and my hair is falling out! It smells terrible, my hair is lank the day after washing and my scalp is itching. I can't believe there was no warning given. What have you done, L'Oreal?

Awful new formulas have ruined a great product

Used the old formula colour protect shampoo and conditioner for many years. Both had a beautiful fragrance and left my hair soft and shiny.
The changed products are unusable. The fragrances are overpowering and smell cheap but the worst aspect is how greasy and coated they leave the hair.
Such a shame to have a brilliant product ruined.
Cannot buy it again unless the old formulas are restored.

Changed ingredients for worse

Absolutely horrible! I’m using this shampoo for 20years and they’ve changed ingredients in it! The smell is awful and whatever rubbish they put in it, is burning my skin, my face is on fire after rinsing and hair are more dry. I will never buy this shampoo again! Very very disappointed now! Why changing something that worked very well for so many years?! There is also ridiculous high price now!!

Good if you want hair that looks greasy and flat

Used to be great - I've been using for over 2 decades, even although I did not colour my hair. It added shine and volume. Sadly the formulation has changed, and I end up with limp, greasy hair after washing, conditioning and drying. I need to wash my hair much more often now.
I'm going to buy an alternative product after I finish the bottle I have. It was giod for years, but now it is rubbish.

From the first use my hair felt nourished and the colour stayed "cleaner". Only a little it needed - my hair is long and thick - it lathered well and smells great with the fragrance lasting. I have used the old and new formula for this project, but I LOVE the new scent (contrary to many other reviews, the new scent is what I noticed first and enjoyed immediately). I have bleached and dyed straight hair and the new formula works very well for me, I can't see much difference between this and the old version; it makes my hair very soft and feels clean yet not dry at all.

I always try and delay washing my hair once it's newly dyed, as most shampoos tend to dull the colour. This shampoo is much kinder to the colour, washing away the dirt and not the colour. Like the matching conditioner, it has a wonderful fresh and fruity smell that leaves my hair refreshed but not diluted.

As always, this made my hair feel soft, strong and nourished. The fragrance is fresh with a fruity hint.

TERRIBLE NEW FORMULA! SMELLS AWFUL

I have been a loyal user of L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo for years, and I have always loved how it made my hair look and feel. The old formula left my hair glossy, vibrant, and smelling amazing – I received so many compliments on how healthy and beautiful my hair was.
However, the recent change in formula has completely ruined the product for me. The new version smells unpleasant, lacks the luxurious feel of the previous formula, and leaves my hair feeling dull and lifeless. I honestly can’t believe how much the product has changed, and it’s incredibly disappointing.
After years of using this shampoo as my go-to, I’m sad to say I will no longer be purchasing it. It’s frustrating to see a product that worked so well for so long be changed for the worse. I really hope L’Oréal listens to their customers and brings back the original formula.
Until then, I’ll be looking for an alternative – one that actually makes my hair look and smell as good as it used to.

Since changing the formula I find the shampoo just dreadful ,
The smell and the textire of my hair is so disappointing , my hair has gone from feeling healthy and shinny , to dull amd greasy and the smell it like a heavy perfume that hits you in the back of the throat . Sorry but I much prefer the original .
