There are a few things I want from a mascara and am happy to say that the False Lash Superstar X Fibre fills all of these needs! • it is easy to apply. I hate a mascara that feels like its a battle to get any on your lashes. The X Fibre has 2 steps - first a volumising black primer. Even after applying this my eyelashes look longer and more defined and would happily wear this alone for a natural look. Then there is step 2 - the mascara itself. Applies easily over the primer and instantly lifts the lashes. It doesn't clog and the brush is shaped perfectly for an easy application. • it's able to create different looks. After following the first 2 steps you can repeat them to intensify the effect of the mascara. After repeating 3 times my lashes actually looked as good as when I have false eyelashes on! • it lasts as long as I do. The staying power is excellent. It didn't smudge or flake and stayed on my lashes for the entire evening. I can't fault the mascara. I will be purchasing this in the future.

I could not wait my cute little box to arrive. I never ever go out without mascara, because I have short and thin lashes. I do not use falsies or extensions because I find them very uncomfortable but I like to have visible lashes. L’Oreal Paris False Lash Superstar X Fiber Mascara gives me ultimate false lash look, without the hassle of false lashes or eyelash extensions. It is just perfect and innovative. False Lash Superstar X Fiber is the mascara I always dreamt about. I no more need to choose between length or volume because 1 mascara has 2 totally different brushes. If you are, like me, who sneakily opens mascaras in the drugstore to check brushes, this is the right mascara for you. These two brushes are both perfect and very easy to use. I can recommend False Lash Superstar X Fiber Mascara even for those who never used mascara before. Perfect result is guaranteed. How to use it? Step one: Volumising black primer thickens the look of each lash to build extreme volume. It dries extremely quickly which helps you apply more coat if needed. I apply usually 2-3. Step two: This formula is enriched with 20X more fibres than Superstar Original mascara for extra length. Apply some more coats with this extra tufty brush for dramatic false lash look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Primer was good in that it thickened each lash and is best used sparingly. However the formulation of the thickening fibers was extremely clumpy and upon application ,made it look like mascara was applied in a rush haphazardly as the lashes began to stick together. It definitely had the "false lash" effect but not the product to use if looking for natural looking volumised, thick lashes. It is ok when seen from a distance but if taking selfies, then the clumping of lashes is very noticeable. Packaging is great and eye catching. Product itself is easy to apply and is long lasting and did not smear and is relatively easy to remove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used fibre lash mascaras previously, of a different brand, I can honestly say I wasn't expecting this to blow me away but I was pleasantly surprised! This mascara is great, clearly fibre lash mascara has moved on a lot since I last used them. I loved that the fibre layer was black instead of white, makes in much easier to cover with the mascara coating. My lashes were lovely and long and defined, I hate mascara that clumps and loads too much onto lashes, this doesn't, and you can build up coats of it to give an even more dramatic look. I found that even with just one coat this was great! Well done L'Oréal, great mascara and I will buy it again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is no secret that I am huge mascara fan. If I was forced to choose only one product for daily use – good mascara will be an answer. I tried multiple L’Oreal mascaras through past years and always liked their formulation and brushes available. Couple days ago I received new L’Oreal Superstar X Fibre mascara in black, and have to say since day one it’s been my absolute favourite. I absolutely adore false lash effect on eyes, but due to being contact lens wearer I barely have patience to go through all hassle with glue falsies every occasion that I want to achieve glam look. So for start. L’Oreal Superstar X Fibre mascara is two step system with primer and “false lash effect” fibres, to achieve falsies effect without all glue - waiting fuss. Previously I used similar system and I was not a huge fan of it, mainly due to white primer provided with mascara (Superstar). Here is different story. Firstly – primer equipped to Superstar X Fibre is pitch black and can be used as normal lengthening, thickening mascara, which is great. Secondly – fibres are extra easy to use, got great consistency and wet formula, so no fallouts, fuss or irritation even with sensitive eyes or contact lenses. L’Oreal Superstar X Fibre in black is just an answer! It gives lovely effect without being dry – hard and crispy. Instead is very soft and easy to maintain, as well as very buildable and easy in application. Just one coat of the fibres works really well for me. I found out that my lashes are not only thickened and lengthened but curled too! No need for eyelash curler. It lasts nicely as well. After 6h at work I find no patches, dry fallouts or stamps. Great! I highly recommend this product and I will purchase another when I will finish this one. For sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear mascara every day and I like to look out for a mascara that will have a dramatic effect on my lashes for special occasions and nights out. This mascara did not disappoint and I was very pleased with the results. The information suggests that you apply one coat from each wand to achieve a natural look. This was very easy to use and although my lashes looked longer, they still had a natural effect. I then applied each one two more times to make my eyelashes look thicker and longer and I was over the moon with the results.

I've used one for length and then one for volume and one to then separate after for th volume, long lash, wide eyed look I think everyone wants. This made it so much easier and saved the extra time and effort. I put my make up as usual and tried sceptically to see th difference from where my eyelashes are very visible to full, defined and everything I've been looking for!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so glad dual phase mascaras finally stopped using a white base coat. The black primer makes so much more sense: it doesn't risk showing through, it gives you the option of using it alone and did I mention it makes more sense? This mascara does give plenty of volume and length. It's also not very clumpy for a two step product, which is nice because who had time to separate their lashes twice? There were two drawbacks for me: it didn't hold a curl well in my lashes and I did find some flaking throughout the day. I suspect this is a result of the fibres, because they do look a bit flaky even on the brush.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very thrilled to try this mascara.I love long full lashes,but not fan of false ones.So for me L'oreals new mascara is the answer.Few companies including L'oreal created before fiber mascaras,but this one is really the super star!No fuss ,no fibers falling ,no white cream.Very easy to apply ,great result and I did not even use curler.Brushes in great size,no clumps.Smell very subtle.Packaging sleek and pretty purple colour.My new favourite now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the False Lash superstar X Fibre Mascara from Loreal to try and it sure did not disappoint! I was initially skeptical about having to first apply a primer and then the fibre side as I haven't had good experiences with other similar mascaras that had this feature. However the end result was amazing! My lashes honestly did have the 'false lash' effect. This mascara provides length with the fibres as well as thick dark volume which is perfect. I would usually have to use 2 mascaras to get my desired effect but I no longer have the need as this mascara does the job for me. The packaging is also appealing to the eye, the bright metallic purple really catches anyones attention.

The first appeal to me was the simplicity of one product in one tube taking up less room in my make up drawer and potentially becoming misplaced. It is clearly labelled so you can't go wrong with which end to apply first/second and the brushes were well shaped to the contour of my eyelashes. Putting it on was easy and didn't make my eyes feel clumpy or heavy, you couldn't vary the effect you wanted by applying more and I even topped it up later in the day and it looked as good as the morning. Overall I really like this product and will buy this in the future over competitors products.

I'm ususaly in a hurry and don't have time for their primer, but this mascara is so easy to apply, stays on, does not flake or smudge yet is not difficult to remove. My lashes are quite fine so this helps make them look amazingly full, thick and separated and will now be my ideal go-to mascara for when I am not wearing eyelash extensions! Highly recommended.

I am not fond of them and have found them messy and disliked them in the past. I find that the second part does apply very well on the white primer part. I think this mascara is absolutely brilliant! Part one, although is a primer, is black and on its own makes your lashes really long. Then you apply part two and it goes on really easily and makes your lashes very thick and long. I was really pleasantly surprised and I would consider it as one of the best mascaras I have used.

It is far better than any of the fibre mascaras you find dotted around Facebook, trust me, I've tried them, in fact when it comes to mascaras I've tried them all. I've always been on the hunt for the 'Perfect' mascara, I've spent ridiculous amounts of money whilst on the hunt, the most expensive being over £30. I've not worn any other mascara since I received this one. It separates and elongates but if you're like me and like a little extra thickness, that's possible too, then when I want a more natural look I can have them thin too! Perfection!

I'm very fussy when it comes to mascara and until now was yet to find one that gave me the volume and thickness that was widely available. For the past four years I've been using a less affordable brand of mascara which I thought could never be rivalled. That was until I tried this one. The mascara formula itself is rich in colour and texture giving lashes fullness and depth, while the applicator distributes a generous amount and coats each lash adding drama to my fine thin lashes. If I could give this product more than 5 stars I would.

The black primer was such an amazing idea, it easily blends it unlike the White mascara primers. This mascara lengthens and gives Volume and makes me feel like a SUPERSTAR. The first layer (fibre) has an unusual brush but this worked really well for separating my lashes and coated them really evenly. The second layer (mascara) wasn't as impactful but it did apply nicely and fairly evenly so my lashes didn't stick together. I don't think one application necessarily creates a false lash look or is so much better than other mascaras I've tried, but I can see that with multiple applications it would build up and the lashes would become more full and voluminous. The product doesn't have a strong fragrance to it, and the mascara isn't overly wet which is something I definitely like about this product. Overall a nice product that I will be using regularly.

Also the fibres are more moist than other fibre mascaras i have used, which is so much better as the fibres don't fall on your face when applying, 5/5!

My lashes did start to not look great with the second coat, but overall good volume and amazing length. Maybe because the wand /mascara appears a little dry.

I personally don't wear false lashes, but am always looking for a decent mascara that lengthens and volumises my lashes! The natural look application, where you apply the primer and then the fibers was easy to do. I wasn't overly amazed as it just looked like any other mascara, although slightly clumpier, not that I added any fibers. The false lash look was a complete disappointment. My lashes just looked clumpy. I wouldn't say they looked any longer. They definitely looked nothing like the models did! Overall, the natural look application is OK, would I pay any extra money to have this, no. If I was buying for the false lash effect look, I'd want a refund.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mascara gives you amazing lashes. I have only used two coats and the lashes looked full and voluminous. It takes a while to get used to application but once you do, it doesn't take long to get amazing lashes. Will definitely buy again.

It's great to have primer and mascara in one wand. I love the purple packaging, very attractive and it makes it look like a quality, high end product. The brushes are quite a bit bigger than my usual mascara but I do like the curved shape of the second brush. The primer separates the lashes well and the second adds the final coat to enhance the lashes beautifully. Overall I'm really happy at the end look of my lashes and would definitely buy this product.

I didn't really like the primer formula, it dried to fast. I would ideally like to apply more than one coat. It's great if you're in a rush though. I really liked the fiber formula, I've tried quite a few and this is the best one by far. It was easy to build up volume. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good fiber mascara product. It's fantastic value for money, easy to apply and the result is beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not going to lie, I wasn't the biggest fan of this mascara initially! I found it a bit faffy and clumpy. I like my mascaras to make my lashes look natural but with ooomph! However as the day worn on, my lashes did end up looking like this! I've still only done the process as single layers, as I definitely feel like going for multiple layers will make my lashes look too spidery. I'm glad that I got to try this mascara out n I'll continue to use for the next couple of months or so, but I think I prefer a 'normal' mascara rather than this 2 step process fibre one.
